The Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona is the largest comprehensive blueprint and arts schoolhouse in the country, located within a dynamic research university focused on transformative change. Built on a unique combination of disciplines, the Herberger Institute comprises the Schools of Art; Arts, Media and Engineering; Music, Trip the light fantastic toe and Theatre; The Design Schoolhouse; The Sidney Poitier New American Film School, and the ASU Art Museum. The Herberger Found for Design and the Arts at Arizona Country Academy in Tempe, Arizona was created in 2009 by the merger of two existing bookish units, the Katherine Chiliad. Herberger Higher of the Arts and the College of Design. The Arizona Lath of Regents approved the merger on Apr 30, 2009.[7] With the creation of the Herberger Institute, ASU shone a spotlight on the importance of design and the arts and on the critical office inventiveness plays in developing innovative solutions to the global challenges we face.
Incorporating a dynamic combination of disciplines, the Herberger Establish for Design and the Arts is a leader in the investigation of inventiveness and artistic do shaping the 21st century.

In 2020, the Arizona Board of Regents approved a plan to create two new schools in the Herberger Found:[viii] the School of Music, Trip the light fantastic toe and Theatre and The Sidney Poitier New American Picture show Schoolhouse.[9] By bringing together music, dance and theatre disciplines into i school and establishing a film school for the fastest growing moving-picture show program in the state, the Herberger Institute aims to provide students and faculty greater opportunities and more room to innovate, collaborate and succeed.
